Parking Area - Square (Alun-alun) Pondok Salada
Small river contains sulfur
Paths starting from the parking lot near the crater and then splitting the crater, stepped cautiously because in some places there are loose parts with hot enough temperatures and the foot could fall. Then the paths turn right and when out of the complex crater is a flat trail continues up to a stall and here there is a considerable field holds more than 30 tents. Paths toward the Pondok Selada can be found in front of the stalls and about five minutes walk from this shop we will arrive at Pondok Salada. At Pondok Selada there is a small river clear watery but contains sulfur.

Pondok Salada – Square (Alun-alun) Tegal Alur
From the Pondok Salada paths climb up a ridge that is in front of Pondok Salada, state trails path there were many large rocks as the river dry. After completing a fairly steep uphill route is the path becomes flat and then turn left and then down the ridge. Be careful when down this path due to the left of the abyss that is only half a meter from the path. Shortly after leaving the forest area that is not so dense, we will arrive in a square large enough. Known as the Square (Alun-alun) of Tegal Alur, at the end of this square (from where we came) there is a small river that flows clear. Before reaching the square in advance we will pass a field like a dead crater.
Tegal Alur - Peak
From Tegal Alur trail to the peak direction is across the creek, the trail is not so obvious is then turned to the right into the forest, careful while in this area may be because this pathway is uncommon in the travel lane so that sometimes the path suddenly disappeared but if the observant we will find a lot of string or rope line red and blue are tied to a tree branch as a marker of the road. At the peak of Mount Papandayan not much that can be enjoyed in addition to views of the crater. At the top is not its triangulation pillar or altimeter. The sign we've reached the peak of this mountain is a path so on will decrease. If you carry an altimeter or GPS then it will be easy to determine the peak. The peak of this mountain is only a small courtyard and disguised with a split path.
Peak - Parking Area
From the top, the path down, then declined steeply following the summit ridge. Be careful with your steps to the left because there is a yawning abyss towards the crater area. The footpath in this area are many overgrown by thick vegetation and trees that are a lot of twigs and branches that jutted up into the ground so as it passes through this stage we have to bend and sometimes crawl. From peak to park it took about three hours and we will get to the rear parking area, there is a river that flows and clear water.
